Ochre Studio

Ochre Studio is a one-page portfolio template for a painter and illustrator, set in Fort Kochi. The artist's name in a large serif sits beside a featured painting on a taped mat over a watercolour wash. Below come a works gallery, an artist statement on an indigo band, an exhibitions list, a commissions section with process steps and a price guide, the enquiry form and a footer. Nine artworks drawn as SVG compositions filter by Oil, Watercolour and Digital. Each opens in a lightbox on the native dialog element showing medium, size, year, a note and availability; Esc, the close button or a click outside closes it, arrow keys browse, and focus returns to the work. 'Ask about this work' fills the commission form with that piece. The form validates the details and opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message or an email draft, as the visitor chooses; nothing is sent to a server. The artist, artworks, exhibitions and prices are placeholders the studio replaces with the customer's own. The page sits on warm paper made with CSS and SVG noise, in ochre and indigo with a vermilion seal. Headings use Instrument Serif with italics, text uses Instrument Sans, and sections carry Roman numerals like a catalogue. Works hang slightly tilted and straighten on hover. The gallery goes from three columns to one on phones from 360 px, and animations stop for reduced motion. It suits painters, illustrators and digital artists who sell originals and prints and take commissions.
