Kalyanam

Kalyanam is a one-page website for a traditional South Indian temple wedding. A mango-leaf thoranam hangs over a split hero: the couple's names, a Kannada Shubha Vivaha line, the muhurtham date and a live countdown beside an illustrated gopuram. Below come an invitation note, a ceremonies timeline (Nischayathartham, Kashi Yatra, Muhurtham, Reception) with times and attire, families and blessings with a mantra card, the venue with a stylised map, four guest notes and an RSVP form. The countdown runs to the muhurtham, the mobile menu opens and closes, and sections fade in on scroll. The RSVP form checks the name, guest count, optional phone and at least one ceremony, then opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message listing the guest's name, number of guests and ceremonies; nothing is sent to a server. The sample couple, families, venue and text are placeholders the studio replaces with the customer's own. The palette is banana-leaf green, turmeric yellow, vermilion and jasmine white, with kolam and gopuram motifs drawn in SVG. Headings use Marcellus, body text Hind Madurai and the Kannada line Tiro Kannada. The layout adapts from phone to wide desktop, and animations switch off when reduced motion is requested. It suits Kannada, Tamil and Telugu families planning a temple or kalyana mantapa wedding who want guests to know the rituals, timings and dress before they arrive.
